Las Vegas FileMaker Developer Group - Welcoming Speaker David Knight
Greetings,
David Knight from Angel City Data will present a variety of creative and useful Script Triggers that developers can add to enhance their solutions. He will also show some FileMaker Go examples and briefly discuss the challenges of growing a vibrant developer group. He will be raffling off a block of free consulting time to meeting attendees.
Our fellow LVFMDG member Garry Nickerson of U.S. Database will continue our "Contact dBase Project".
This ongoing project will provides a format to discuss specific FileMaker topics at each meeting while sharing members' experience about the topics being discussed or by demonstrating related solutions.

David Knight again a featured speaker at 2011 FileMaker DevCon
Burbank, CA (June, 2011) - Angel City Data President, David Knight is again selected to speak at the 2011 FileMaker Developer Conference, the largest worldwide gathering of independent and corporate FileMaker database developers, trainers and users. This year’s conference will be at the Hilton San Diego BayFront Hotel in San Diego, California, August 2 to 5, 2011.
David will be involved in 2 sessions at the conference this year. He is an invited panel member on the session, "One to Many: Growing Your Business". The session will be moderated by business expert Molly Connolly and will feature discussions on how to grow from a sole-proprietor to a multi-person firm. Discussions will range on a variety of issues like hiring, marketing, sales, team management, customer service and others. David is looking forward to helping Molly with this important topic, "I'm honored to participate on this panel and hope to share how Angel City Data's been able to grow successfully through the years.", said David.
David will also be presenting "Trigger Happy 2.0", a reprisal of his wildly-popular session from the 2010 conference. The session takes a creative approach to using script triggers to amplify, automate, simplify, and extend your FileMaker applications. David's fast and fun presentation style will show attendees how they can quickly add script triggers to their existing solutions that will make them smarter, faster and more enjoyable to use. Knight is planning a wide variety of demos this year, "I hope to show some of the top tips from last year's session…with some new twists. I'll also have some new triggers and surprises that folks have not seen from me before. It's going to be fun!"
David has presented over a dozen sessions at the FileMaker Developer Conference, dating back to 2000. He's one of the top presenters in the FileMaker community, having also spoken at multiple PauseOnError events, FileMaker Bootcamps and scores of developer group meetings.
ACD expands to bigger offices with new training center
Burbank, CA (January 1, 2011) - Noted FileMaker Platinum firm Angel City Data has expanded into new facilities in Burbank's Media District. The new facilities represent the continued growth of the company and help broaden future offerings to their growing customer base. Four key advantages of the move and expansion are: 1) More space to accommodate a growing staff. 2) Closer proximity to most ACD customers. 3) Larger conference space that doubles as a training room. 4) A variety of private meeting spaces to accommodate multiple, customer design meetings.
